About

Veronika Schwarz (b. 1984) is a Slovak-born naturalized Australian artist working across music, visual arts and writing. She has completed training and studies in music, history and visual arts, alongside developing her professional practice. Veronika’s work is frequently inter-disciplinary, with themes of human history/culture and nature – and their intersection – being favourite areas of exploration. Her published output includes Riemannian Modulation in Max Reger’s Lieder (2018) and numerous published musical compositions. Her artwork is held in national and international private collections. Veronika regularly contributes as a volunteer to community and cultural initiatives, most recently the Incognito Art Show (2026).

Artist Statement

I have always loved music, writing, art and nature, and, to some degree, engaging with these eased the cultural shock I experienced as a result of moving countries. This experience led me to become interested in individual and collective histories/culture, and I gradually also perceived the presence, interaction and influence of the natural world on what prima facie appears as purely human trajectories and expressions. Through my work, I seek to explore these themes and connections.
